Relatively spontaneously, Felix and myself decided for another boat trip. Since we were lacking creativity and ideas, we just rented a boat from Saône Plaisance in Savoyeux as we did 3 years ago for the last time.
We packed our stuff, went to Belfort, where we spend a night in a clean but quite noise motels with thin walls. The next morning, we would drive the rest of the way to Savoyeux where we arrived at around 10:30h.
After moving all our stuff (things we needed and many more things we did not need but brought anyway) to the boat, we decided to go downriver to Grey. The intention was to visit “la petite fontain”, a restaurant we had liked quite a lot 4 years earlier and to fill up our supplies at the Intermarché SUPER Grey near the river. At around 13:00h, we finally left the harbor, went a little bit up the river to get a feeling for the boot, turned around and headed for the tunnel to then negotiate our first lock. At around 17:00 h, we arrived in Grey. After our shopping tour, we went to the restaurant, and enjoyed our pizzas and the kind service. By the time we left, it became dark and we went out for a stroll in Grey.
