2026-05-02: The easy catch

I received a what’s-up message from Claus informing me of a probe that had landed nearby.

I spun up the receiver. There was no signal from the probe. Since we were heading to a restaurant near the landing zone anyways, we checked for the probe without high hopes. The area is quite busy and the probe had landed roughly 12 hours ago. Arriving there, we spotted it right away laying on the ground and in plain side. Surprisingly, the probe had remained unnoticed until we picked it up and recovered it. It had landed at 48,784972° N, 9,210250° E.
