2022-06-12 Gray -> Auxonne

After getting up, having breakfast, and topping up some of our supplies at the supermarch´e nearby, we got on our way to Auxonne relatively late around noon.

We passed the nice river-houses near Mantoche and went through more locks. Apparently, some of our fellow river captains had problems distinguishing red and blue and pulled the red handle of the lock’s “user interface” resulting in an emergency stop. A technician had to come by car to reset the lock. The same happened in another lock, and soon we discovered that there was only one technician on duty who helped us out — friendly and unagitated. Near Auxonne, it started first to drizzle and then to rain.  Distant thunder roared. We made it into the harbor of Auxonne just before the rain became more heavily. We quickly brought down the the sun shade and retreated into the cabin.
