Antonio, a fast but safe driver, took me back over the gravel roads to Punta Arenas. The street name follows the usual pattern. It started snowing also in lower elevations. It was about time to leave the park.
In Punta Arenas, I worked on my list of open sights, and payed a visit to the home of the Braun Menéndez family. They made their fortune by supplying ships, and had their villa build in 1906. Then the Panama canal was build, so the ships moved north. The family eventually followed the ships and relocated to Buenes Aires.
