Another early morning in the Antarctic. Jim’s voice croaks from loudspeaker waking us up in his “Good Morning Vietnam” style. The day dawns, and we are off for a zodiac ride in Wilhelmina Bay. Today, whale spotting is on the agenda.
We found some krill eaters sunbathing. And we spotted an elusive humpback whale. Then we cruised around with little avail, hoping that performing the whale dance would bring us more whales — and in the end it worked. Unfortunately, we were low on gasoline, and only could follow him shortly.
