Travel Day: The bus was rolling rolling, rolling to Santiago. Luckily, the seats were more convenient than I anticipated it, and could be converted into something like a bed. I could actually sleep.
Back in Santiago, I bought a little plane at the bus station that I had discovered during my trip to Valparaiso 10 days ago. I then checked in to Las Vegas Hotel, only to meet Fabrice whose acquaintance I had made during the Altiplano Tour. He had stayed in the hotel before as well, and liked it for the same reasons as I: Centrally situated, quite, friendly staff, comfy rooms (some of the unfortunately without window), and nice surroundings (Londress Street).
In the early evening, a pest exterminator sprayed an agent against termites and cockroaches near the reception. Apparently, he overdid it a little bit: Within minutes all guests staying at the 1st and 2nd floor found themselves on the street in the front of the hotel coughing and with tearing eyes. Amazing, how far and quickly the agent spread out.
