Leaving the one of the cleanest and best maintained port of our journey, Corre, we spend another uneventful but pleasant day on the water. In the late afternoon, we arrived at Port de la Maladière, the port of Port-Sur-Saone. Many boats look pretty worn and seem to be in a poor state which gives it the impression of a ship graveyard. Port-Sur-Saone on the other hand is a pretty small-town with surprisingly many backeries (we counted 3) for its size. Its roots go back to the gallo-roman times.
Barge converted to house boat currently on land. We witnessed a failed attempt to get it out of the water one day earlier. The Saone near OrmoyÉcluse n°1 de Ormoy: No challenge any more for the seasoned crewIron Bridge between Ormoy and CendrecourtÉcluse n°2 de CendrecourtFelix starting the locking process at Écluse n°2 de CendrecourtVilla in Montureux-lès-BaulayEcluse no.3 de Montureux-les-BaulayThe Saône (somewhere between Bauley and Port-d’Atelier)Écluse n°4 de ConflandeyChateau on the Ile de Cantin in ConflandeyChurch in Port-sur-SaôneBakery and Hairdresser in Port-sur-SaôneFisherman at Port-Sur-SaôneNemo at the Port de La MaladièreFrom Corre to Port-sur-Saône (The Copyright of the maps belongs to ÉDITIONS DU BREIL who kindly gave me permission to use it)
