2015-03-18:Cuverville Island

We arrived at Cuiverville Island. It was foggy and gently showing — a nice day in Antartica. We were set ashore by zodiac and started discovering. Lots of funny gentoo penguins chasing each other and enjoying a warm day. I did not feel so warm however — my toes became ice cubes pretty quickly. We climbed a little hill, and slid  back down observed by a couple of surprised penguins. Later on, it cleared up, and Dmitri took us on zodiac ride on the way back to the boat.

Noon position: 64° 40’S 62° 36’W; Wind W Force 6; Sea state 2; Air 2° C.
