After an uneventful flight, I arrived at the airport in Santiago de Chile ahead of schedule at around 9:30. Flying over the Andes and into Santiago de Chile afforded me some amazing sights — a landscape full of chiseled hills torched by blazing sun rays that was glowing reddish in the morning sun. There was no turbulence during the final approach — the plane smoothly glided down to the runway. Temperature is a comfortable 30 °C.
As always, immigrations and customs took its time. I arrived in the hotel at noon. After a nap, I strolled around the centre of Santiago de Chile.
