As usual, we started slow. After breakfast, we first went shopping in the scorching heat. We bought some medicine to lessen the effects of Felix’s hay fever. And we restocked our drinking supplies at Netto. Felix insisted on buying the baguette in one of the bakeries rather than at Netto, with which I complied, — realizing that it also meant a detour and more walking through the heat carrying the water which became heavier with each step. The bread however made it well worth. Back at the boat, we loaded our supplies, untied it, and pushed ourselves back into the stream to continue up north. Leaving the harbor, we passed by a polygon face, an art installation. Except for lock Écluse n°4 de Conflandey, which ignored our first request for locking, the voyage was uneventful.
Last time we stayed in Corre, a Swiss couple had just taken over the management of the port. They are still there, electronic booking was now possible and the harbor was in perfect order and the sanitation clean. We found a place to stay in the shadow of some large trees. Next to us the boat with the 2 couples from Hessen had moored. We went to a nearby Turkish restaurant where Felix ate a large burger and a large Pizza. We then strolled a bit around before going back to the boat.
