2018-10-07: RS41 over Köngen

A lazy Sunday afternoon, and a RS41 supposed to land not too far away. So Felix and myself went for a hunt. The timing was good, we never really lost contact to the probe and we were in the landing zone in time. The prediction shifted a bit and we followed. When the probe landed, we were about 200 m away.

The probe had landed in the garden of a house. Arriving there, we met a lady in her car about to drive away. We informed her about the probe in her garden, and she had no objections of us collecting the probe. In the process of coiling up the thread, another probe hunter arrived: Florian, who I had met a couple of month ago during the open house day of the Deutsche Wetterdienst (DWD). DWD is the agency that launches the probes from Stuttgart.  At that time he was just about to start weather probe hunting. We exchanged experiences and plans. In the meanwhile, he had became experienced probe hunter. After a long chat, Felix and I saddled up, and went back to Stuttgart.
