2015-04-17 – 2015-04-21: In Santiago

Most of the time I spend with house keeping activities (which tend to be quite time consuming due to the language barrier) and working on my blog.

On the evening of 17th, I went with Monica and her daughter Beatrix  to a  concert. The program featured a  concert of  Franz Liszt, a premier of a piece of modern music, and a concert of Franz Schubert.  The composer of the piece of modern music was also present — my goodness was he nervous.

On 18th, I visited Monica, her brother Ricardo, and Beatrix for lunch.  We had a good time and good conversations. Ricardo talked a little bit about his job as software engineer for ESO’s VLT (Very Large Telescope) in Paranal — a complexity piece  of machinery he is maintaining and enhancing there …

The 19th, 20th, and 21st I spend mainly with the blog, sending a parcel to Germany, and preparing the next leg of the journey, the Atacama desert.
