I woke up in the hotel “Finis Terrae”, had a gorgeous breakfast, and went around the city center of Punta Arenas.<\/p>\n

Lonely Planet recommends to stroll around the local grave yard which I did. The world of dead echos the world of the living. Everything is there: From tenement graves, single family graves, single family detached graves (modern and classic style), to villa graves. And many graves of immigrants.\u00a0 Interestingly enough, there is a grave of the German health insurance. That makes one wonder: Is this the result of a new scheme to lower the cost of the health care system ?<\/p>\n

Anyhow,\u00a0 I went on to a maritime museum. Besides Antarctic ice in a fridge, of that I had seen quite a bit recently, they had a computer learning kit from the 1970’s on display. I wonder how that became part of the collection of a maritime museum — I would have expected to see that in a computer museum.<\/p>\n

In the late afternoon, I boarded a bus to Puerto Natales (Distance: 260 km, Duration: 3.5 h) and left this pretty city with its little surprises.<\/p>\n
