Machuca<\/h1>\n

Machuca is a small village up in the mountain. It consists of a couple of houses for\u00a0 the 19 of its inhabitants, a church, some tourist shops, and a radio tower for mobile cell phones overlooking the village from a nearby slope. Except for its size and its elevation, I did not find the village really remarkable.<\/p>\n

Rio Grande<\/h1>\n

The satellite pictures resemble those of the Nile: Patches of green around the river, and a distinct line beyond which the desert begins abruptly.<\/p>\n
