2019-04-23: RS41 near Berwinkel

On our way back from Schwarzenbruck to Nürnberg, we made sure that a probe crossed our path. At around Schwäbisch Hall, we received the signal of the probe in about 13km altitude. We eventually lost the signal. The predictor put the probe’s landing point in a field south of Berwinkel. Once we parked the car at the exit of Berwinkel, we were able to reacquire the signal.

We went to the received gps fix and soon found the probe. Felix kept on searching and discovered the parachute in a tree. It had continued along a course of 250°. We were able to recover both, the probe and the parachute.
